Building Your 'Digital Foundation'

READ TIME - 4 MINUTES

Hi Future 6-Figure MT,

Today, I'm going to teach you about two crucial elements of your 'Digital Foundation' as a massage therapist: optimizing your website and maintaining an active social media presence.

In a digital world, your online presence is often the first interaction potential clients have with your business. A strong digital foundation ensures you make a great first impression, stay top of mind, and effectively convert interest into bookings.

Many massage therapists rely solely on referrals and underestimate the power of a digital presence.

"I don't need a website or social media because my business does fine from referrals." While I agree, referrals are VERY important, an optimized website and active social media presence will complement referrals

I don't know about you, but even if someone tells me about a product or service, I still will do a quick search online. If things look good, I'll buy.

"The next client can change the trajectory of your business. Don't let something in your control, cause you to lose a potential client."

What I'm teaching today ↓

1. Optimize Your Website: A modern, easy-to-navigate website is your digital storefront. It's where potential clients decide whether to book with you.

2. Active Social Media Presence: Regular, engaging posts keep you in clients' minds, showcasing your expertise.

Why This is Critical:

- An outdated website can deter potential clients before they even contact you.

- Inconsistent social media presence means you're out of sight and out of mind, missing opportunities to remind past clients to rebook or attract new ones.

Here’s what you can do:

1. Optimize Your Website:

   - Timeline: Start today!

   - Action Steps:

     - Modernize your website design using user-friendly platforms.

     - Clearly display your services, unique selling points, and contact information.

     - Make it easy for clients to book sessions online.

If your website looks like it's from the 1990's, it's time to update. Here is a homepage I created in less than 3 minutes for free.

use websites like carrd.co to build a free website quickly or spend $10-20 a month for more features using squarespace.com (this is what I used starting out)

2. Active Social Media Presence:

   - Timeline: Regularly

   - Action Steps:

     - Share your expertise through tips and insights.

     - Post client testimonials to build trust.

     - Regular posts keep your services in clients' minds, prompting them to book sessions.

This post you see here is exactly the reason why the client in this Instagram post booked another session. They saw it pop up on their social media feed and decided they could use another session.

Remember, every post and website update is an investment in your business's future.

Looking forward to helping you build a digital presence that drives your business success!
