Today, I'm going to chat about a strategy for your social media: Selling Your Services by NOT Selling. Yes, you read that right. It's all about showcasing what you do without having to be salesy. Here's how, but first..

If your Instagram has even an ounce of resemblance to the following photo, please cease all social media posting. 

You're going to learn how to effectively use social media to attract clients and boost your business without resorting to constant selling. It's about drawing people in, not posting infographics about how much your services cost or the benefits of massage.

In a world where everyone's tired of being sold to, you have the chance to stand out. By sharing your skills on Instagram. This approach builds trust and loyalty.

Many massage therapists fall into the trap of using their social media as a digital billboard: service promotions, holiday sales, gift certificates... you name it. While offers have their place, an endless stream of sales pitches can turn followers off.

Not to mention, this is an old strategy for Instagram. It's like taking an ad out in the back of the local newspaper. There's a better way!

Here's how we can "sell" without selling:

Show, Don't Sell:

Post videos demonstrating your techniques and do it often.

This is the most important thing you can post on Instagram.

So imagine you're a runner with tight hamstrings and you see this:

Do you think they would be more interested with that or a generic infographic about how massage can help runners?

A post like this show a potential client

• what a session will look like
• what techniques are used
• who the massage therapist is
• what the facility looks like
• what type of clients you work with  

This not only helps you sell without selling but also starts to filter out the clients that are NOT your ideal client.


By focusing on sharing your knowledge and skills on social media, you naturally attract those who need your services – making "selling" feel effortless.
